2020 ADVENT | 24-stripe skein
This product is currently unavailable
I first came up with the idea of a 24-stripe advent skein in July 2018 as I was preparing my annual Christmas update. At the time I thought it would be fun to offer as an alternative to the traditional mini-skein calendars. Originally I had hoped maybe 25-50 knitters would want to join in. To my surprise this concept was welcomed with open arms by knitters and close to 400 participated in the 24-stripe advent skein KAL in 2018. Last year in 2019 we were close to 900 participants which completely blew me away. I am so glad that this is becoming a tradition for so many of you and I cannot wait for you to see this years version.
The 2020 Cozy Knitter 24-stripe advent skein will be on my Bliss base which is 80% superwash merino and 20% nylon and will be approx 110-115g. The skein will be split into two even half-skeins each with 2 full repeats of 24 stripes, each stripe is approx 5-6 rows depending on your gauge. To have a finished pair of socks by Christmas Day you may need to knit more than one stripe daily, this depends on your personal gauge and the size you will be knitting.
This will be a brand new colourway and only available for a limited time. I may or may not choose to repeat this colourway at a later time.
Shipping: All 24-stripe advent skeins will be shipped from Ontario, Canada in October starting with International orders, followed by US and Canadian orders. I use a combination of Asendia (Int'l), USPS and Canada Post through Chit Chats Express. This helps me provide tracked shipping to most customers at a more affordable rate and makes for a very streamlined shipping process on my end. Please note advent skeins cannot be combined with other items. I am hoping this should allow enough time for everyone to receive their package well before December 1st but please understand this is a busy time of year and will be subject to postal delays based on the demands of the various carriers.
