I expect all orders containing only 2018–2022 skeins to ship by Friday, February 13th. All remaining orders are estimated to ship by Tuesday, February 17th.

PLEASE NOTE: the base selection applies only to your mini-skeins.

All Advent Skeins are dyed on my 80/20 Sock base.

Mini-Skein Base
Mini-Skein Qty (30g)

NOTE: the original Advent Skein was dyed with narrower stripes as you can see from the product photo. Going forward (this update included) the stripes will be the same width as the 2019-2025 skeins.

The 2018 Cozy Knitter 24-stripe advent skein will be in my Bliss base which is 80% superwash merino and 20% nylon. This skein will not come with a mini skein, however the skein will be split into two even skeins so you can cast on both socks and have them matching. If you knit 1-2 stripes per day for the month of December you should have a fresh pair of socks for Christmas morning.

This will be a brand new colourway and only available for a limited time. All colours will have The Cozy Knitter feel you all know and love, I may or may not choose to repeat this colourway at a later time.

Care Instructions

I highly recommend hand washing your knit items in cool or lukewarm water using a pH-neutral wool wash to keep them looking amazing for as long as possible.

I use colorfast acid dyes for dyeing my yarn and rinse until water runs clear. However, there is a chance some dye may bleed slightly in the first couple of washes of your finished item. Because of this, I do recommend that you wash your items separately, especially for the first couple of washes. If you have them available it is always a good idea to use a "colour catcher", similar to dryer sheets and often found in the laundry section. Some dyes are more prone to bleeding than others such as highly saturated (e.g. reds, pinks) or speckled skeins, this happens to hand-dyed wool just as commercially dyed wool.

Please be advised washing in hot water is not recommended as it may break the bond between the fibre and the dye and could cause bleeding.
