2024 ADVENT | 24-stripe skein
This is a brand new colourway and only available for a limited time.
The Advent Skein is dyed on my 80/20 (Bliss) sock base which is 80% superwash merino and 20% nylon and will be approx. 120g. The skein will be split into two even half-skeins each with 2 full repeats of 24 stripes, stripes are approx. 5-6 rows depending on your gauge. To have a finished pair of socks by Christmas Day you may need to knit more than one stripe daily, this depends on your personal gauge and the size you will be knitting.
Optionally; you can purchase a mini-skein on either of my Bliss, Shimmer or Glitz bases to be used for heels/toes/cuff. This is entirely up to the individual maker, many makers choose to use a mini-skein from their stash or using just the striped yarn.
Shipping: All 24-stripe advent skeins will be shipped from Ontario, Canada. For Canadian and International orders I ship via Canada Post, for US packages I ship via Chit Chats Express/USPS. Please see notes on international shipping prior to placing an order. Please note any duty/customs is the responsibility of the customer. At current time (November 12th, 2024) Canada Post are in a legal strike position, kindly keep this in mind if placing an order. Unfortunately, this is out of my control and could cause delays. According to a statement by Canada Post packages will be delivered during a potential strike but no new packages will be accepted.

I highly recommend hand washing your knit items in cool or lukewarm water using a pH-neutral wool wash to keep them looking beautiful for as long as possible.
I use colourfast acid dyes for dyeing my yarn and rinse until the water runs clear. However, there is a chance that some dye may bleed slightly during the first few washes. For this reason, I suggest washing your items separately, especially during the first couple of washes.
If you have them available, it’s a good idea to use a "colour catcher" (similar to dryer sheets), which can be found in the laundry section of most stores. Some dyes, especially highly saturated colours like reds, blues, or speckled skeins, are more prone to bleeding. This is common for both hand-dyed and commercially dyed wool.
Important: Avoid washing your items in hot water, as this can break the bond between the fiber and the dye, potentially causing bleeding.
