2024 ADVENT | 24-stripe skein
While the 2024 Advent Skein is not yet available you can sign up on this page to be notified when the pre-order window opens on Thursday July 25th 2024. Closer to July I intend to post some inspiration photos for the 2024 Advent Skein on my instagram page.
This will be a brand new colourway and only available for a limited time.
Yarn Base: The Advent Skein is dyed on my Bliss sock base which is 80% superwash merino and 20% nylon and will be approx. 115g. The skein will be split into two even half-skeins each with 2 full repeats of 24 stripes, stripes are approx. 5-6 rows depending on your gauge. To have a finished pair of socks by Christmas Day you may need to knit more than one stripe daily, this depends on your personal gauge and the size you will be knitting.
Optionally; you can purchase a mini-skein on either of my Bliss, Shimmer or Glitz bases to be used for heels/toes/cuff. This is entirely up to the individual makers, many makers choose to use a mini-skein from their stash or using just the striped yarn.
Shipping: All 24-stripe advent skeins will be shipped from Ontario, Canada. US and Canadian orders will ship early November. International orders will ship mid-October, please see notes on international shipping prior to placing an order.
The Cozy Knitter is located in Ontario, Canada. All in-stock items will ship within 1-2 weeks. If you order contains pre-order items please refer to the product page for specific shipping timeframess.
Canadian packages are shipped via Canada Post or UPS.
US bound package are shipped via Chit Chats Express, using USPS. Please keep in mind when placing an order your package will be crossing an international border which may cause delays.
International bound packages are also shipped using Chit Chats Express via Asendia and several international postal services. As your package will be crossing international borders please keep in mind this may cause delays. Any additional fees, duty and/or taxes are the responsibility of the recipiant.
